Sunday night and the weeks ahead

This Sunday night we will continue our conversations about our identity as followers of Jesus. The theme this week is our identity as givers. Don't panic, we're not looking for more money from anyone - we want to talk about a lifestyle that gives. We will also talk about how this idea of giving to be blessed has been abused. A few Scriptures to consider in preparation for Sunday - 2 Corinthians 9:6-11; Mark 12:41-44; and Psalm 24:1-2.

April 8 - Easter Sunday

Lent

As most of you know, Lent begins with Ash Wednesday this week on February 21. I want to encourage all of us to consider participating in this time of reflection and preparation as we move towards Easter.

Happy Birthday to us! and the week ahead

What a great night Sunday. So much fun to see old friends and be together celebrating and remembering where we have been and looking out toward what's ahead. Thanks to everyone who came and who helped with food and stuff for the night. I hope to get some pictures up tonight.

Most of the site is up and ready for the world. Again, the image section should be up in the next day or two and then everything will be complete.

Looking to next week. We will resume our conversations about identity with a focus on our place as Children of God. A couple of scriptures to think about as we get together are 1 John 3: 1-3; John 1:10-13; and Ephesians 5:1-2.

Also remember that the season of Lent begins next Wednesday, February 21. We will talk about this season in preparation for Easter on Sunday.
